<h3>What <strong>is a "Frontend Developer II/III"</strong></h3>
<p>We have a transparent career progression framework at Charlie. IC1 is a junior developer, IC4 is a senior developer, and IC levels 2 and 3 cover that middle area. For this role we’re interested in your specific Rails Frontend skills more than your seniority, so we’ve opted to offer interviews to people who fall within level 2 and level 3.</p>
<h3>In this role you will:</h3>
<p>As a Frontend Developer you’ll be responsible for:</p>
<ul>
<li>Build and improve Charlie, a modern Rails app that’s a joy to work on</li>
<li>Use our design system to ship functional and beautiful features</li>
<li>Be part of a cross-functional team with other developers, designers and product managers</li>
<li>Work with developers of all experience levels, with opportunities to learn and share learnings</li>
</ul>
<h3>Requirements</h3>
<p><strong>You must have:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Professional experience with Ruby on Rails</li>
<li>Experience building web apps “HTML over the wire”</li>
<li>Knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript</li>
<li>Enthusiasm for collaborating with and helping others</li>
<li>Self-awareness and humility – you know that honest feedback is how you grow, and you’re not afraid to ask for help.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Let us know if you have: (all of these are desirable, but none are required)</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience working on SaaS products</li>
<li>Built frontends with the help of a design system</li>
<li>Worked with Stimulus and Turbo</li>
<li>Knowledge of web accessibility standards</li>
</ul>

<p>This is a permanent full-time role. We cannot offer visa sponsorship and you must be able to work in the UK.</p>

<li>A benchmarked salary from £52,000 to £60,500 based on your level within our progression framework</li>
