We have a Rotterdam (The Netherlands) based main office, and staff working remotely from the Netherlands, the UK and US. Our platform helps museums, theatres, concert halls, and cultural organisations take control of their websites, automate content, and grow their audiences, without the costly rebuild cycles that plague the sector.</p>

<h2>About the Role</h2>
<p>We're a small, focused team with 6 developers, a Technical Product Owner, CTO and CPO (Chief Product officer), shipping a three weekly release cycle. We're looking for a hands-on Software Tester to own quality assurance for our customer-facing product.</p>
<div>Your primary job is straightforward: make sure new features and changes work as designed before they reach customers. You will be working closely with the development team to analyze feature requirements, design test scenarios, and execute manual and automated tests. You will suggest new unit tests to the team, verify them and put them to use.&nbsp;<br><br></div>
<div>Our team of developers care a great deal about code quality and testing practices, so this isn't about building a QA department from scratch, it's about being a sharp, reliable pair of eyes on every release and deliverable and making sure you have the tools to do so.<br><br></div>
<div>As the company grows, it’s not unlikely that the role will develop into a full-time position which requires you to build robust testing practices that grow with the product. A strategic mindset and hands-on technical skills are therefore a plus.<br><br></div>
<div>As you work closely with the development and product team, based both in the Netherlands and the UK, it is required that at least half of your working hours overlap with a common workday in the CET timezone.<br><br><br></div>
<h2>Key Responsibilities</h2>
<ul>
<li>Test new customer-facing features against acceptance criteria and design specifications before each release</li>
<li>Perform exploratory and functional testing to catch edge cases, UI inconsistencies, and unexpected behaviour</li>
<li>Work closely with the Product Owner and developers to understand what's changing each sprint and what needs to be verified</li>
<li>Log bugs clearly and concisely with reproduction steps, expected vs. actual behaviour, and supporting screenshots or recordings.</li>
<li>Re-test fixed issues and confirm they're resolved before sign-off</li>
<li>Maintain a set of regression checks for core user journeys to run alongside new feature testing</li>
<li>Test bug fixes and report back to affected customers</li>
<li>Raise concerns early if a release doesn't feel ready. You're the last line of defence before customers see it<br>&nbsp;</li>

<h2>What This Role Is (and Isn't)</h2>
<div>This is primarily a manual testing role. We're not looking for someone to build out an automation framework or manage a team. We need someone who is thorough, communicates well, and takes pride in shipping a clean product. Experience with tools and some scripting is a plus, but curiosity and attention to detail matter more.</div>

<h3>Required Experience &amp; Skills</h3>
<ul>
<li>2+ years of experience in a software testing or QA role in a SaaS environment</li>
<li>Comfortable testing web applications, both UI and basic API behaviour</li>
<li>Able to read and understand user stories, acceptance criteria, and design specs</li>
<li>Methodical approach to testing with a knack for finding things that shouldn't break but do</li>
<li>Clear written communication for bug reports and stakeholder updates</li>
<li>Familiar with a bug tracking tool such as Jira, Linear, Freshdesk, Asana, or GitHub</li>
<li>Able to work independently and manage your own time within a sprint cycle<br>&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<h3>Nice to Have</h3>
<ul>
<li>Experience working in a small or startup environment</li>
<li>Familiarity with tools like Postman for basic API checks</li>
<li>Exposure to test case management tools (TestRail, Notion, spreadsheets, whatever works)</li>
<li>Basic understanding of how web applications are structured (helpful for diagnosing issues, not required)<br>&nbsp;</li>
</ul>

<li>The salary range for the Netherlands would be €3.200-€3.600 (based on a full-time 40-hour workweek) depending on experience. For the UK it would be £32k-36k /annum (based on a full-time 37.5-hour workweek). For other countries we have to review case-by-case.<br>&nbsp;</li>
