The GSF community is the largest of its kind, is made up of 182 organisations spanning 70 countries, collectively running or supporting close to 1.39 million schools, childcare, and pre-primary centers, and providing education to well over 139 million children. &nbsp;Our community comprises standalone schools, such as MAIA Impact working with Mayan girls in Guatemala; school networks working within or across countries, including organisations like Hippocampus working in India or United World Schools working in Cambodia, Myanmar, Nepal and Madagascar; and organisations providing core support services to non-state schools, such as EdPartners Africa that provides financial services to schools in Kenya or Ubuntu Education that provides a variety of teacher development offers across Africa.&nbsp;</div>

<div style="padding-left: 40px;"><strong>Knowledge Accelerator: </strong>We focus on creating, codifying and sharing evidence and best practices to enhance member knowledge and capabilities. Our efforts also include providing thought leadership and influencing policy on a global scale. &nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br><strong>Funding Catalyst :</strong> We are focused on sub-granting to facilitate testing and scaling initiatives. This includes creating new on-granting vehicles for our members, such as financing low-fee private schools and advocating for foundational learning. Additionally, we aim to connect our members with funders and vice versa&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br><strong>Partnership Builder:</strong> We facilitate partnerships among our members, connect them with global actors, and foster collaborations with governments to scale innovations. Additionally, we broker research partnerships to enhance our collective impact.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br><strong>Community Convenor: </strong>Fostering connection, trust, and relationship building among GSF members is essential for creating a vibrant and supportive community. By encouraging open communication and collaboration, we can strengthen the bonds between members, ensuring that everyone feels valued and included. <div style="padding-left: 40px;"><br><strong>Role Purpose&nbsp;</strong><br>The Senior Associate – Evidence Hubs will play a core role in supporting GSF’s growing portfolio of Evidence Hubs, through which we develop and share practical evidence that helps organisations improve education delivery. &nbsp;&nbsp;</div>
<div style="padding-left: 40px;"><br><strong>What is an Evidence Hub?</strong> Across the education sector, organisations are testing different approaches to strengthen delivery of education services. However, evidence is often scattered, learning is fragmented, and practical guidance on what works is hard to access. The Evidence Hubs respond to this gap by documenting what is being tested, understanding what is working in practice, and translating that learning into clear, usable resources that organisations can apply on the ground.&nbsp; Each Hub focuses on a theme where there's innovation but limited guidance. GSF’s current Evidence Hubs are on early childhood development in emergencies, government–non-state partnerships, and learning differences.&nbsp;</div>

<div style="padding-left: 40px;"><strong>How do we generate evidence? </strong>Evidence generation through the Hubs is grounded in practice and peer learning.</div>

<div style="padding-left: 40px;">A core part of the approach is bringing practitioners together through communities of practice, workshops, and structured exchanges. These spaces allow organisations to share experience, reflect on challenges, and learn from how others are working in different contexts.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="padding-left: 40px;"><br>Alongside this, the Hubs work closely with selected partner organisations to develop, test, and adapt tools and frameworks. This includes supporting pilots, gathering feedback from practitioners, and making changes based on how tools are actually used in real programmes.&nbsp; The Hubs also support organisations to adopt and apply tools in their own settings. This involves providing practical support to help partners adapt tools to local contexts and integrate evidence into ongoing implementation and learning.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="padding-left: 40px;"><br>Learning from this work is then shared more widely. The Hubs convene webinars and learning events, circulate tested models across the GSF network, and ensure practitioner perspectives are reflected in broader regional and global conversations.&nbsp;</div>

<div style="padding-left: 40px;"><strong>Role Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong><br>We are looking for a Senior Associate who enjoys working at the intersection of research and practice — someone who can produce high-quality evidence, write clearly, and help turn learning into simple, practical tools that practitioners can use. &nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>The Senior Associate will primarily support the ECD in Emergencies and Learning Differences Evidence Hubs, with scope to support other Hubs as needed.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br><strong>Key responsibilities include:&nbsp;</strong><br><strong>1. Research and writing</strong>: &nbsp;You’ll support the day-to-day research and writing that underpins the Evidence Hubs by:&nbsp;<br>-Conducting desk research, landscape reviews, interviews, and consultations across different themes.&nbsp;<br>-Making sense of qualitative and secondary evidence and turning it into clear written outputs like learning briefs, guidance notes, case documentation, and practitioner tools.&nbsp;<br>-Keeping track of new evidence, models, and sector conversations so our work stays relevant and grounded in what’s happening on the ground.&nbsp;</div>

Testing and adoption support: </strong>&nbsp;You’ll work with partner organisations to co-create, test, and apply tools in practice by: &nbsp;<br>-Identifying and shaping opportunities to co-create, pilot, or adopt tools with partner organisations, in line with Evidence Hub priorities.&nbsp;<br>-Coordinating pilot activities with partner organisations, including scheduling, documentation, and follow-up.&nbsp;<br>-Gathering feedback from practitioners and supporting iterative improvements to tools and frameworks based on how they are used in practice.&nbsp;<br>-Supporting the delivery of workshops and other learning formats that help partners understand, adapt, and embed tools in ways that strengthen implementation and learning.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="padding-left: 40px;"><br><strong>3. Peer learning and dissemination</strong>: You’ll help share learning in ways that are practical and accessible by:&nbsp;<br>-Supporting the design and delivery of peer-learning spaces, including communities of practice, webinars, and workshops.&nbsp;<br>-Helping identify opportunities to share Evidence Hub learning through conferences, sector events, and external platforms, and preparing materials as needed.&nbsp;</div>

Project management:</strong> You’ll help keep things moving by:&nbsp;<br>-Coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of Evidence Hub activities.&nbsp;<br>-Maintaining timelines, tracking tasks, managing documentation, and supporting project planning. &nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br><strong>5. <div style="padding-left: 40px;">Salary Range £20,625 - £43,000. As a remote-first organisation, we benchmark salaries by region to ensure fair and competitive pay across all locations. Your salary offer will sit within the published range and reflect your location and experience.<br>&nbsp;<br>Contract: 18 months fixed term contract with expectation of extension.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>Hours: Full-time, &nbsp;37.5 hours each week, typically 9h00-17h00 in your time zone, but with significant flexibility. Given that we work across different time zones, non-traditional hours will be required. &nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>Location: Remote. Local work authorisation is required. Preference for candidates based in Africa or Asia (GMT +4 to +5 hours).
