<div><strong>About Resurrect Bio</strong></div>
<div>Resurrect Bio is a VC-backed plant biotech start-up, discovering how to make crops resistant to disease using gene editing. We fix the immune system of crop species. We have a unique pipeline and platform for discovering resistance genes in crops which have been defeated by pathogens and pests. We then resurrect (restore) those resistance genes to make the crop resistant again, without introducing any new DNA to the crop.</div>

<div>We’re focussed on delivering for the world’s farmers a better way to protect their plants, using the crop's own immune system instead of spraying chemicals. This will enable them to increase food production, reduce land for agriculture and help mitigate climate change.</div>

<div>In December 2021, Resurrect Bio was spun out of the top institute for molecular plant microbe interactions, The Sainsbury Lab, Norwich. Since then, we have attracted financial support from several renowned VCs, as well as UK Government grant funding.</div>

<div><strong>This role</strong></div>
<div>You’ll take ownership of the company's external outreach, helping us form research and commercial partnerships and guide negotiations with leading seed companies. We are looking for someone with experience working within the bio/ag sector and has familiarity with the business life cycle of seed and breeding companies.</div>
<div><br>The role will require:</div>
<ul>
<li>Raising the profile of Resurrect Bio within the sector</li>
<li>Negotiation and deal-closing skills; able to find win-win solutions</li>
<li>The ability to interface constructively with the CEO and executive team</li>
<li>A strong relationship builder – can develop trust with senior leaders at seed companies</li>
<li>An understanding of the norms of the seed/agriculture sector</li>
<li>A self-starter; able to work without elaborate support infrastructure</li>
<li>We are looking for the right combination of commercial and cultural fit, who can help grow Resurrect Bio.</li>

<div><strong>Required experience</strong></div>
<ul>
<li>Business development / partnerships role in the seed or ag biotech industry</li>
<li>Licensing-out of traits, technologies, or intellectual property</li>
<li>Experience working with incumbent seed companies (multinationals and regionals)</li>
<li>Structuring and negotiating commercial agreements</li>
<li>Building and managing a small number of high-value partnerships</li>
</ul>

<li>Presentation and public speaking experience</li>
<li>Startup experience not essential, but understanding of startups/scaleups is nice to have</li>

<div><strong>Qualifications</strong></div>
<div>An undergraduate degree is essential, post-graduate degrees preferred. However, this is an experienced based role which is more important in our hiring decisions. All additional role-specific qualifications and certifications will be considered.&nbsp;</div>
