<div><strong>What you’ll be doing:</strong></div>
<ul>
<li>Line manage a small group of engineers (typically 4–6, junior to mid-level) — providing regular 1:1s, coaching, and feedback</li>
<li>Monitor the performance of these engineers - Conducting performance development reviews and supporting them to improve and progress in their career.</li>
<li>Support the Engineering Manager by owning day-to-day team leadership and keeping delivery on track — surfacing risks early and helping remove blockers.</li>
<li>Maintain credible technical oversight through strong full-stack experience — guiding discussions, reviewing approaches, and reinforcing engineering standards across front-end and back-end work.</li>
<li>Lead practical process change within the team — improving delivery rituals, ways of working, and quality practices to increase predictability and outcomes.</li>
<li>Hold engineers to account for commitments, standards and team behaviours — ensuring follow-through is consistent and issues are addressed early and constructively.</li>
<li>Support hiring and onboarding for the team (in partnership with the Engineering Manager) to build capability and maintain team health.</li>
<li>Promote and uphold a collaborative, inclusive and open culture, helping engineers thrive and do their best work.</li>
<li>Support cross-functional clarity and momentum - aligning with Product and Design to manage scope, priorities and progress</li>
<li>Flag and resolve delivery issues early, whether they're interpersonal, operational or technical</li>
<li>Encourage collaboration across teams, not just within your own remit</li>
<li>Contribute to organisational improvement - from onboarding to team processes to internal communication</li>
<li>Maintain alignment and trust by communicating openly and constructively across the business&nbsp;</li>

<div><strong>What we're looking for:</strong></div>
<ul>
<li>Experience (4yrs+) in a team lead/people lead role</li>
<li>Demonstrable experience improving team delivery through process change (e.g. rituals, ways of working, quality practices and follow-through)</li>
<li>Experience managing delivery in an agile product environment, partnering with Product and Design to plan, prioritise and deliver outcomes</li>
<li>Full-stack web development background with enough breadth to review work across front-end and back-end, reinforce standards, and escalate complex technical decisions when needed</li>
<li>Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS/GCP), DevOps practices, CI/CD and modern development workflows</li>
