<div><strong>Job Title: </strong>Site Management Lead</div>
<div><strong>Location:</strong> Remote first, with travel to our Southampton office and operational sites as required.<br><strong>Department: </strong>Service Delivery<br><strong>Reports to:</strong> COO<br><strong>Salary:</strong> £60,000 to £70,000</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div><strong>Build the function that will support our next stage of growth</strong><br>We are looking for an experienced Site Management Lead to join our growing Service Delivery team and take ownership of how we design, deploy, onboard and maintain our customer sites.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>This is an exciting time to join us. We have developed proprietary technology that enables drones to operate autonomously, supported by a control centre where qualified pilots oversee and coordinate missions. We are now moving from proving the technology and service to scaling its deployment across customer estates.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>As we continue to grow, we need to develop the processes, systems and team required to support this.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>This is an opportunity to take ownership of and build on the Site Management capability we already have in place. Site Management is already a core part of how we operate, with responsibilities currently shared across the team. You will bring these activities together under a dedicated function, developing the team, processes and standards as we grow, while remaining hands-on across site design, surveys, deployment, onboarding and maintenance. You’ll bring structure, consistency and scalability to a function that is already delivering, helping us take Site Management to the next level.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div><strong>About SkyBound</strong></div>
<div>
<div>SkyBound delivers automated drone operations for critical national infrastructure, providing real-time aerial intelligence to support safety, security and faster decision-making.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>We combine software, AI and remote operations, with systems managed from our Southampton-based 24/7 control centre and deployed across the UK in some of the most complex airspaces to enable rapid response and continuous site awareness.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>As we continue to scale, we are looking for a driven Site Management Lead to join the team and help shape the future of autonomous operations.</div>
</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div><strong>What you'll be responsible for</strong><br>You will own the operational lifecycle of our customer sites, working closely with Service Delivery, Flight Operations, Procurement, Engineering, Product, PMO, Customer Success and our customers.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div><strong>Your responsibilities will include:</strong></div>
<ul>
<li>Leading the end-to-end site management process, from initial survey and design through to deployment, onboarding, operational handover and ongoing maintenance.</li>
<li>Developing consistent processes, standards and documentation for site delivery.</li>
<li>Coordinating site surveys and ensuring site specifications are accurately captured and completed.</li>
<li>Working with GIS and other technical teams to support site and flight-volume design.</li>
<li>Managing the practical onboarding of new sites into our software and operational environment.</li>
<li>Coordinating site deployments, working closely with PMO and internal and external delivery partners.</li>
<li>Establishing effective processes for site and equipment maintenance, repairs and ongoing technical support.</li>
<li>Identifying recurring issues and opportunities to improve site reliability, deployment efficiency and operational performance.</li>
<li>Building appropriate systems, processes and reporting to provide visibility of site status, readiness, maintenance and performance.</li>
<li>Working closely with Flight Operations to ensure sites are operationally ready and capable of supporting planned flight volumes.</li>
<li>Supporting the development of the Site Management team, including identifying the skills and roles required as the business scales.</li>
<li>Ensuring lessons learned from deployments and operational experience are fed back into future site design and delivery.</li>
</ul>
<div><strong>What we're looking for</strong><br>We are looking for someone who has experience managing complex physical or technical deployments or operational infrastructure, and who is comfortable working in a business that is growing quickly and continuing to develop its processes.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div><strong>You might come from a background in:</strong></div>
<ul>
<li>Field operations or service delivery</li>
<li>Infrastructure or technical deployments</li>
<li>Telecommunications or network infrastructure</li>
<li>Engineering or technical project delivery</li>
<li>Rail, aviation, logistics or other operational environments</li>
<li>IoT, robotics, autonomous systems or other technology-enabled services</li>
<li>Facilities or asset-intensive operations</li>
</ul>
<div>Your exact background is less important than your ability to take ownership, create structure and manage delivery.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div><strong>You will be someone who:</strong></div>
<ul>
<li>Is comfortable being hands-on as well as working at a strategic level.</li>
<li>Can take something that is not fully defined and develop it into a repeatable process.</li>
<li>Has strong organisational and project management skills.</li>
<li>Understands the importance of good site design and planning before deployment.</li>
<li>Can balance technical requirements with practical operational considerations.</li>
<li>Is comfortable working across multiple teams and bringing people together to solve problems.</li>
<li>Has strong attention to detail without losing sight of the wider objectives.</li>
<li>Can identify where more structure is needed without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.</li>
<li>Is commercially and operationally minded and understands the importance of delivering a reliable service to customers.</li>
<li>Is comfortable developing a function and its processes as the business grows.</li>
</ul>
<div><strong>The opportunity</strong><br>This role will give you ownership of the Site Management function and the opportunity to establish how it operates as SkyBound continues to grow.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>You will work across the business to develop the operating model, processes and standards required to support our growing number of customer sites.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>As our customer base and number of deployed sites grow, so will the function. For the right person, there is a clear progression path into Head of Site Management, with responsibility for the team, operating model and performance of the function.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>If you have experience managing technical or operational deployments and are looking for an opportunity to take ownership of a growing function, we would like to hear from you.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>
<div><strong>Why join SkyBound?</strong></div>
<ul>
<li>£60,000 - £70,000 salary</li>
<li>23 days annual leave plus public holidays</li>
<li>Enhanced employer pension contribution</li>
<li>Industry relevant training and development</li>
<li>Flexible and casual working environment</li>
<li>Health and wellbeing support</li>
<li>24/7 Employee Assistance Programme</li>
<li>EV charging points at the office&nbsp;</li>
<li>Internal and external development opportunities</li>
<li>Group Life assurance&nbsp;</li>
<li>Flexible working arrangements</li>
<li>Direct access to senior leadership</li>
<li>A growing business where you can see the impact of your work</li>
<li>The opportunity to help build the future of autonomous operations</li>
</ul>
</div>
<div>Most importantly, this is a role where you’ll have real ownership.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>We’re not looking for someone to simply manage spreadsheets and update project plans. We need someone who can look at a problem, bring the right people together, work out what needs to happen and make sure it happens.</div>
