<div>Responsible for managing SUBU’s Student Voice and Insight department. This&nbsp;includes the Student Rep systems operation and supporting the development of&nbsp;further Student Voice mechanisms to ensure SUBU has robust insights on the&nbsp;student experience at Bournemouth University. To do this, the role works closely&nbsp;with the Student Voice Co-Ordinator as well as the SUBU Insight Analyst and&nbsp;engages with other departments and stakeholders.</div>
<div><br>This role works closely with our Full-Time Officers to support them ahead of their&nbsp;university meetings, by briefing them on key aspects and providing them with&nbsp;evidence gained through our Student Voice mechanisms and insights from Higher&nbsp;Education sector developments. This role also supports the development and&nbsp;implementation of SUBU’s student-led policies, which involves working directly&nbsp;with students and other SUBU staff to ensure policies are representative of&nbsp;students’ needs.</div>

<div>The role supports SUBU’s vision, goals and strategic aims by ensuring they are&nbsp;reflected in the Student Voice department’s short, medium and long-term&nbsp;planning.</div>

<div><br><strong>Key Tasks</strong></div>
<ul>
<li>Administration Duties: email &amp; diary management.</li>
<li>Communication Duties: between stakeholders, SUBU staff and Officers,&nbsp;University staff, and other external contacts.</li>
<li>Organisational Duties: organising meetings, prompting staff and students for&nbsp;input into various matters.</li>
<li>Data Duties: maintaining, tracking and managing various records and information systems, including the Student Rep feedback tool.</li>
<li>Project Duties: leading, supporting or contributing to a variety of projects,&nbsp;activities or initiatives as directed by students and Full-Time Officers.</li>
<li>Managing feedback campaigns, including Speak Week and SUBU’s ‘You’re&nbsp;Brilliant!’ Awards scheme.</li>
<li>Analytical Duties: monitoring incoming student feedback and Student Rep&nbsp;usage of the feedback tool, ensuring the results of student representation are&nbsp;recorded and tracked and the impact is promoted to the student body.</li>
<li>Key Union Events Duties: when asked to assist with the organisation and&nbsp;administration of the larger Union events such as Freshers’ Fair, Summer Ball,&nbsp;Student Awards, Elections.</li>
<li>Financial Duties: effective budget management for the Student Voice&nbsp;department</li>
<li>Compliance Duties: accountability for supporting the creation and&nbsp;implementation of operational plans and departmental objectives.<br>Representation/ facilitation Duties: to represent SUBU at BU committees,&nbsp;meetings, events, such as open days and information fairs,<br>Advice and Guidance Duties: establishing a dynamic and encouraging rapport&nbsp;with Student Representatives. Overseeing appropriate systems for the smooth&nbsp;running of the Student Rep system.</li>
<li>Line Management Duties: To line manage one full time staff member (Student&nbsp;Voice Co-ordinator). There is also a dotted management line to the SUBU&nbsp;Insight Analyst.</li>
<li>Training Duties: organising, delivering and developing training for Student Reps&nbsp;as appropriate.</li>
<li>Reviewing &amp; Evaluation Duties: reviewing and evaluating the department’s work&nbsp;to measure effectiveness and impact on the student experience, participating&nbsp;in SUBU strategic planning and development sessions.</li>
<li>Engagement duties: developing new ideas and activities to increase Student&nbsp;Reps engagement, participation and diversity of Student Reps.</li>
<li>Networking Duties: maintain strong relationships and partnerships with the&nbsp;University, local community organisations, the National Union of Students and&nbsp;other relevant stakeholders.</li>
